ACES (astrophysical chemical equilibrium solver) is a
robust chemical equilibrium code which includes a large set
of thermochemical data for roughly 4000 species (atoms,
ions, molecules, solids and liquids). ACES has been well
tested from 100K to 100,000K for a broad range of pressures
and compositions. ACES is very stable and reasonably fast
(completing a typical calculation at a single {T,P} point
in ~ 0.005 seconds on a typical CPU). In addition to the
mole fractions for each species, ACES also computes the
partition function (for each species), entropy and specific
heat (Cp) for each {T,P} point.
ACES can be used as a stand-alone program or as a recently
incorporated module of a new version of the PHOENIX
atmosphere code.
