I am a tenure-track astronomer at Lowell Observatory
(since Aug. 2006). Extrasolar planets are the main
focus of my research, with an emphasis on modeling the
atmospheres of substellar-mass objects. I am a
co-developer of the multi-purpose model atmosphere
code PHOENIX and lead-developer of the chemical
equilibrium code ACES (Astrophysical Chemical
Equilibrium Solver).
I am also interested in observational aspects of extrasolar
planets and am the PI of an ongoing ground-based project
using the Keck II telescope to measure the near-infrared
flux of a few nearby hot-Jupiters.
